Ten years ago a man named Rene Lebouvier asked the local Catholic church to take him off the baptism registrar. When Lebouvier learned of the sex scandals and continued stance on birth control, Rene demanded the church remove him from all records permanently.

Rene stated, “It’s a sort of honesty toward the church because they have a guy on their register who doesn’t believe in God.”

Rene won a court ruling in Normandy which agreed that his name should be permanently deleted from the records.

Lebouvier is not the only one seeking de-baptism. Thousands are following suit, some of them by refusing state church taxes.

“The movement is happening across Europe,” said Anne Morelli, who heads a center studying religion and secularity at the Free University of Brussels. “It was very apparent during 2011 — in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Austria. It is obviously related to the scandals of pedophile priests, but it has been going on for some time.”

Although there are no official statistics, experts guess the number de-baptized is in the tens of thousands.

In 2011 it is said that 181,000 people in Germany have left the Catholic church. The number is based on government papers filed by citizens who say they no longer will pay church taxes.

Thousands in Britain have downloaded de-baptism certificates. In Belgium 2000 certificates were requested in 2011.

“It’s not by chance that in Germany, Austria and Belgium that the movement is strongest,” says Belgian researcher Morelli, noting countries that levy church taxes, which France does not. “It’s also a struggle about subsidies the population must pay for a church that doesn’t represent them.”

“I ________ having been subjected to the Rite of Christian Baptism in infancy (before reaching an age of consent), hereby publicly revoke any implications of that Rite and renounce the Church that carried it out. In the name of human reason, I reject all its Creeds and all other such superstition in particular, the perfidious belief that any baby needs to be cleansed by Baptism of alleged ORIGINAL SIN, and the evil power of supposed demons. I wish to be excluded henceforth from enhanced claims of church membership numbers based on past baptismal statistics used, for example, for the purpose of securing legislative privilege.”

My Comment:

None of this comes of a surprise to me. This is the fruit of infant baptism.

Babies do not have faith. Babies do not choose to proclaim their faith in Jesus publicy. Babies do not choose to follow Jesus. This fact has brought millions of false “Christians” into the world because of infant baptism.

The Catholic Church, and several Protestant churches sprinkle water over babies heads and declare them saved Christians. Here a few of those “Christians:” Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Lady Gaga and the singer Madonna.

In the middle ages, infant baptism was a registry. If you did not get baptized, you were kicked out of the country. What a mockery of baptism. Imagine the millions of people having their babies baptized as to not get expelled from the country. Then if you didn’t believe what the church taught, you were burnt at the stake.

The Catholic Church and all churches that promote infant baptism now have thousands running to have it reversed. They don’t want to be associated with a church that abuses children and covers up the crimes.

If this isn’t blatant proof that infant baptism does not make you a Christian, then I don’t know what is.

Is there a better place for a trial run? With the Caste system still in tact, even the lowly feels like a somebody, with their own ID cards. White-nosed syndrome among bats is sweeping through America and Canada alarming the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

According to biologists, bats are an important part of the Eco-system, keeping flying insects and pests at bay.

Sixteen states and four Canadian provinces have had mass die off of bats, causing conversationalists to sound the alarm.

The fungus affecting the bats, causes them to wake up from their hibernation, searching for night flying insects in the cold weather. Their futile search kills them, as there is no food supply in the winter.

Dan Ashe from the US Fish and Wildlife Association stated:

“This startling new information illustrates the severity of the threat that white nose syndrome poses for bats, as well as the scope of the problem facing our nation. Bats provide tremendous value to the U.S. economy as natural pest control for American farms and forests every year, while playing an essential role in helping to control insects that can spread disease to people,” said agency director Dan Ashe.

Some biologists fear if a remedy for the fungus is not found quickly, the little brown bats may become extinct.

My Comment:

It isn’t enough that the birds are falling from the sky and the fish are washing up on shores around the world.

The bees are dying in record number and now bats are at risk of going extinct. Scientists scramble trying to find the answers to these predicaments without cause.

All of this die-off will eventually change  healthy ecology as we know it.  Bees dying off affect crops and food production and the bats keep the mosquito and disease-causing insects from making the human population sick.

Nature is breaking down as it cries out for the return of Jesus to make things right in the world. As the spirit of antichrist picks up speed,  the world enters into unknown territory. The enemy is a destroyer and killer.

As evil seeps into governments and leaders, being led by Lucifer, the sweetness and purity of creation seems to buckle under it’s weight.

As we continue to see these freaks of nature, disease and pestilence will take over the world, just as the bible has predicted. We await, with joyful expectation for the King to fulfill the Scriptures and bless us with a new heaven and a new earth after the world is rocked by tribulation and chaos.

We need to be ready for the bumpy ride ahead and keep in mind that as the world crumbles around us and we are persecuted even unto death, it pales in comparison for all He has prepared for those who love Him.

When you read the news, tempted to succumb to depression, remember all of this must happen before He returns. This place is temporary. It is not our home. Let’s keep looking to Jesus with hope knowing he will never abandon or forsake us. Hallelujah.

Rev. Francis J. Hoffman explains why the faithful can venerate images while not disobeying the second commandment.

As an ex-Catholic, this photo breaks my heart. Dear Catholic people, be set free from idolatry and follow the true Jesus of Nazareth!

Fr Francis, director of Relevant Radio, stated that it is now acceptable to venerate graven images, because we beheld the face of Christ in His incarnation.

The question Fr. Francis was answering was from a person wondering if the Catholic Church would consider taxidermy graven images. The priest quoted from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

2130   Already in the Old Testament, God ordained or permitted the making of images that pointed symbolically toward salvation by the incarnate Word: so it was with the bronze serpent, the Ark of the Covenant, and the cherubim.

2131 Basing itself on the mystery of the incarnate Word, the seventh ecumenical council at Nicaea (787) justified against the iconoclasts the veneration of icons – of Christ, but also of the Mother of God, the angels, and all the saints.  By becoming incarnate, the Son of God introduced a new “economy” of images. 

2132 The Christian veneration of images is not contrary to the first commandment which proscribes idols.  Indeed, “the honor rendered to an image passes to its prototype,” and “whoever venerates an image venerates the person portrayed in it.”  The honor paid to sacred images is a “respectful veneration,” not the adoration due to God alone.

Fr. Francis said that taxidermy could not lead anyone directly to God, (looking at a stuffed dead animal) and that it would only be idolatry if someone worshiped it.

My Comment:

Did the Apostles set up a shrine full of statues of wood and stone with carvings of Moses and Abraham after Jesus ascended to the heavens? Did they start bowing before them with the excuse that Jesus walked the earth so now it was okay?

Did they open up a Catholic gift shop with lots of statues and rosaries? We know the answer is NO. There is no way  Paul or Peter set up a statue in their homes or kept one in their bag when they went preaching from town to town. No bottles of holy water did they carry.

Because the Council of Nicaea decided to make the first commandment null and void does not mean that it is. The Catechism claims it is only veneration and not worship. Is the following photo veneration or worship?

Oh my dear Catholic people, come out of her. The commandment of God can not be erased by any council or any man. Be set free from idolatry by throwing out every statue and image, and the unclean spirits attached to them! Adhere to the Gospel and make Jesus your Master, Savior and Lord.

THE hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.

The Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland are warning their five million worshippers, as well as any others drawn to the study of scripture, that they should not expect “total accuracy” from the Bible.

“We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision,” they say in The Gift of Scripture.

The document is timely, coming as it does amid the rise of the religious Right, in particular in the US.

Some Christians want a literal interpretation of the story of creation, as told in Genesis, taught alongside Darwin’s theory of evolution in schools, believing “intelligent design” to be an equally plausible theory of how the world began.

But the first 11 chapters of Genesis, in which two different and at times conflicting stories of creation are told, are among those that this country’s Catholic bishops insist cannot be “historical”. At most, they say, they may contain “historical traces”.

The document shows how far the Catholic Church has come since the 17th century, when Galileo was condemned as a heretic for flouting a near-universal belief in the divine inspiration of the Bible by advocating the Copernican view of the solar system. Only a century ago, Pope Pius X condemned Modernist Catholic scholars who adapted historical-critical methods of analysing ancient literature to the Bible.

In the document, the bishops acknowledge their debt to biblical scholars. They say the Bible must be approached in the knowledge that it is “God’s word expressed in human language” and that proper acknowledgement should be given both to the word of God and its human dimensions.

They say the Church must offer the gospel in ways “appropriate to changing times, intelligible and attractive to our contemporaries”.

The Bible is true in passages relating to human salvation, they say, but continue: “We should not expect total accuracy from the Bible in other, secular matters.”

They go on to condemn fundamentalism for its “intransigent intolerance” and to warn of “significant dangers” involved in a fundamentalist approach.

“Such an approach is dangerous, for example, when people of one nation or group see in the Bible a mandate for their own superiority, and even consider themselves permitted by the Bible to use violence against others.”

Of the notorious anti-Jewish curse in Matthew 27:25, “His blood be on us and on our children”, a passage used to justify centuries of anti-Semitism, the bishops say these and other words must never be used again as a pretext to treat Jewish people with contempt. Describing this passage as an example of dramatic exaggeration, the bishops say they have had “tragic consequences” in encouraging hatred and persecution. “The attitudes and language of first-century quarrels between Jews and Jewish Christians should never again be emulated in relations between Jews and Christians.”

As examples of passages not to be taken literally, the bishops cite the early chapters of Genesis, comparing them with early creation legends from other cultures, especially from the ancient East. The bishops say it is clear that the primary purpose of these chapters was to provide religious teaching and that they could not be described as historical writing.

Similarly, they refute the apocalyptic prophecies of Revelation, the last book of the Christian Bible, in which the writer describes the work of the risen Jesus, the death of the Beast and the wedding feast of Christ the Lamb.

The bishops say: “Such symbolic language must be respected for what it is, and is not to be interpreted literally. We should not expect to discover in this book details about the end of the world, about how many will be saved and about when the end will come.”

In their foreword to the teaching document, the two most senior Catholics of the land, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, Archbishop of Westminster, and Cardinal Keith O’Brien, Archbishop of St Andrew’s and Edinburgh, explain its context.

They say people today are searching for what is worthwhile, what has real value, what can be trusted and what is really true.

The new teaching has been issued as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of Dei Verbum, the Second Vatican Council document explaining the place of Scripture in revelation. In the past 40 years, Catholics have learnt more than ever before to cherish the Bible. “We have rediscovered the Bible as a precious treasure, both ancient and ever new.”

A Christian charity is sending a film about the Christmas story to every primary school in Britain after hearing of a young boy who asked his teacher why Mary and Joseph had named their baby after a swear word. The Breakout Trust raised £200,000 to make the 30-minute animated film, It’s a Boy. Steve Legg, head of the charity, said: “There are over 12 million children in the UK and only 756,000 of them go to church regularly.

That leaves a staggering number who are probably not receiving basic Christian teaching.”

The quest for world-wide Catholicism continues in 2012

Pope Benedict XVI released an “apostolic” letter, Porta Fidei,  proclaiming the Year of Faith for 2012.

Starting Oct. 11, 2012 through Nov. 24,2012, the church will focus of world-wide Christian unity.  The dates are signifigant. Oct. 11th is the 50th anniversary of  Vatican II. Nov. 24th the Roman Catholic church celebrates the feast of Christ the King.

The Vatican state that this special year should be  “a propitious occasion to make Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church more widely and deeply known.”

The Year of Faith will include the following initiatives:

• At the worldwide level, Pope Benedict will preside at a solemn opening celebration for the Year of Faith. The Vatican plans special ecumenical efforts, pushing toward Christian unity, including “a solemn ecumenical celebration in which all of the baptized will reaffirm their faith in Christ.”
• At the national level, episcopal conferences will be encourage to focus on “the quality of catechesis,” and to ensure that the teaching of the faith is in “complete conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The bishops’ conferences will be strongly encouraged to use all available media outlets to promote that goal.

• At the diocesan level, the CDF calls for “renewed creative dialogue between faith and reason in the academic and artistic communities,” and for penitential celebrations, with a particular emphasis on asking God’s forgiveness for sins against the faith.At the parish level, the Year of Faith should be centered on the community liturgy, and specially the Eucharist, the CDF says. All other initiatives should be based on that foundation.

The Vatican will set up a special website to promote the initiative and a secretariat will be appointed within the Pontifical Council of the New Evangelization to promote the cause.

My Comment:

It looks like they have boots on the ground.

Has the Roman Catholic church changed in it’s desire to make the world Catholic? No. The Office of Inquisition continues it’s PR push for world domination. The Vatican will be pushing hard for ecumenical unity this year. She will attempt more dialogue with the artistic and intellectual communities but especially non-Catholic Christians. The church will conduct penance services that ask God to forgive those against the Catholic faith.

Many denominations and churches will participate in these ecumenical services, blurring the lines of truth and putting a veil over the Gospel.

Nothing the Vatican or world leaders attempt has not first passed through the hands of our Sovereign God, who works all thing for good for those who love Him. These things must take place before He returns.

We don’t need to fear the changes taking place, economic collapse and slow but steady erasure of borders. We do not need to fear.  We know who holds our future, and by His Word, holds the whole world together.

So we give thanks for everything, walking in the Word until  our redemption draws nigh.

Evangelicals, the Duggars are hoping for a Catholic President.

America has come to love the Duggars. They are a well known Christian family that speaks openly about their faith on their reality show.

The Duggars back Santorum for many reasons: He is pro-life, supports home schooling (the Duggars are all home schooled), professes to be Christian,supports lowering taxes, against partial-birth abortion and is a Republican.

Jim Duggar stated he prayed for months about it.  He is willing to continue the campaign trail:

“There have been so many candidates over the past few months who have risen to the top and dropped off and they had all kinds of baggage in their closet, and I think that has caused a lot of confusion,” Duggar said. “We are coming to Iowa to let people know that if you are looking for a family values candidate this is your man. He supports traditional marriage, he is pro life, pro gun and someone we can whole-heartedly get behind.

Astronomy teacher, Irene Worthington Baron, used NASA astronomy computer programs when searching for proof of the Christmas star. In her recently published results, the author concluded the Christmas star of Bethlehem was just the position marker and the last of ten spectacular, heavenly birth announcements.

Irene Worthington Baron used over sixty NASA astronomy computer programs to search skies of 2,000-years ago for evidence and proof of the Christmas star. The author reports confirming each discovered birth announcement of Jesus Christ by using multiple astronomy computer programs.

According to Ms. Baron, there were ten major, celestial events announcing the birth of Jesus Christ, the last being the position marker over Bethlehem. The events created what she considers to be the greatest birth announcement in the history of mankind.

Individuals using astronomy computer programs are invited by the author to verify the celestial events she discovered. In her book she identifies each event by day, hour, month, and year.

It has become common knowledge that the star watchers of 2000-years ago studied the sky at dawn. Participating individuals must therefore set the time of their searches to dawn in the time zone of Bethlehem.

It is common knowledge to current astronomers that ancient astronomers, astrologers, priests and cosmologists used symbols and symbolism to interpret star movements prior to the Babylonians of 4,000-years ago.

The movements of the stars and planets in the heavens are precise and mathematical. The author therefore concluded that the ancient star watchers, well versed in mathematics and astronomy, were able to make predictions of star movements years in advance. Ms. Baron stated it is logical to conclude that having advance knowledge is what enabled the entourages of wisemen/magi/astronomers/priests, and their support personnel, ample time to travel from their homelands to Bethlehem in Judea to pay homage to the new God and become, perhaps, the first gentiles to worship Him.

Ms. Baron learned the details concerning the ancient interpretations of symbols and star movements by using abstracts, books, papers, and periodicals concerning ancient history and archeology including studies of ancient writings, wall carvings, art, astronomy, and historical artifacts. The author reports from her research that the spectacular birth announcement events began in July of that eventful year when the ancient “wandering star” gods Venus, Mars, and Jupiter were closely lined up in the dawn sky. At opposition, they had their full faces brilliantly illuminated like neon signs. Symbolically, astronomers were being asked to pay attention for what was to come. From that point on, significant and spectacular symbolic events happened rapidly.
